Pronounced /ˈwɒmbatuːki/ and formed in 2015, Wombatuque consists of a group of friends and Capoeiristas who love to share traditional Samba de Raiz from Brazil in Melbourne, Australia.

They play Samba de Raiz, as well as traditional Samba de Roda from the Recôncavo Baiano and other folklore influenced by Capoeira. Their repertoire includes original tunes, as well as songs by the renowned Brazilian artists such as Fundo de Quintal, Zeca Pagodinho, Dorival Caymmi, Clara Nunes and Paulinho da Viola, among others.
